Following new research showing that 8/10 shoppers think British products should be easier to spot in supermarkets, Nick Allen, British Egg Industry Council Chief Executive, said: “It’s fantastic to see how much British shoppers value British eggs - retailers are missing a trick by not clearly displaying country of origin on the food they sell. Well done Discover Seafood for raising a really important subject.
“Let's hope we start to see the British Lion mark on packs of food using egg ingredients, such as egg sandwiches. It’s a simple way to keep shoppers happy, show that you’re supporting British farmers, and potentially grow sales.”
